It’s time. Your club needs you!

Two of our most dedicated club stalwarts will not be returning to the SSC Committee in 2024 and we need new members to fill both committee and volunteer roles to continue to grow our great club.

27 year club veteran and current President Simon Oliver will not be returning to the Sandringham Soccer Club Executive Committee this year along with our long serving Registrar Sue Emsley.

This means that we are looking for new committee members, along with general volunteers, to nominate  to participate at this Tuesday’s Annual General Meeting.

“I have been involved with the Club for 27 years, “ said current President, Simon Oliver ,“I have been a player, a coach, and for the past two years, had the great honour of filling the role of Club President.”

“We have achieved outstanding growth and maturing of the Club over the past two years in a range of areas including attracting new and increased sponsorship, expanding our girls’s competition, securing State 4 promotion for our seniors team and, establishing our platinum community clubs partnership with Melbourne City.  I am very proud of all that we have achieved and look forward to seeing the continued growth of the club and I feel it’s time for other club members to be part of this experience.” Simon said. “I would like to extend my hearfelt thanks on behalf of the Club to Sue for her longstanding contribution over the past 14 years, our seasons simply would not have run without her and we send her our best wishes for the future.”

Simon will continue to be involved with the Club in a more informal way and will continue to share his expertise and guidance with incoming committee members and volunteers.

We encourage all members who can spare a few hours a month to help continue to run and grow our great club to join us at our AGM on Tuesday 14 November and consider volunteering for a committee position or, simply registering your willingness to help out on request. We can’t do it without you.

The AGM is also an important opportunity for you to hear from and engage directly with our 2023 committee and those supporting the club. We will provide an update on how the club has gone this year as well as plans for the coming season.

Details are as follows:
