Sandringham Soccer Club is a proud community football club rooted in the heart of Melbourne’s South-East, passionately serving players, families, and football lovers since 1948. With more than 75 years of continuous history, we stand as one of the oldest and largest soccer clubs in Victoria, with a vibrant membership base that reflects the diversity and spirit of our community.
From humble beginnings, Sandringham SC has grown into a true community institution. Today the club fields dozens of teams, with hundreds of registered players across all ages and abilities, from miniRoos and juniors to senior men’s, women’s, and masters teams (Over 45s/55s). We offer football programs, competitive fixtures, and social participation pathways that cater to aspiring elite players as well as those who simply love the game.
Our vision is to be the club of choice in Bayside Melbourne, providing access to football for all and inspiring everyone who wears our colours to realise their full potential and love the sport for life. Online registrations through the Play Football system usually open mid to late January.
Age groups are based on the age your child turns during the calendar year.
Players may play up an age group to be with friends. Playing down an age group is only allowed with approval:
• MiniRoos (U7–U11): At the club’s discretion
• Juniors (U12–U18): Requires Football Victoria approval (submitted by the club)
Yes. Friend requests can be nominated during registration.
We aim to place each player with at least one nominated friend in social teams.
Friend requests do not apply to graded teams.
Yes. Girls can choose to play in:
• Mixed teams (boys and girls): U7–U14
• Girls-only teams: U8–U18
Mixed teams play on Saturday mornings.
Girls-only teams play on Sunday mornings.
• Mixed teams (U7–U12): Saturday mornings
• Boys teams (U13–U18): Sundays
• Girls-only teams (U8–U18): Sundays
Training nights are decided by each team, usually in consultation with families.
If a training night doesn’t work for you, we’ll try to move your child to another team in the same age group (where possible).
Pre-season training times may differ from regular season training.
