At Sandringham SC, we believe that investing in our players not only fosters their love for the game but, also increases the range of opportunities available to them. We currently operate four key programs – Budding referees, Budding coaches, Goalkeeper Training and Development Training. All program places will be advertised via our website and social channels. Our Budding Referee Program was established in 2002 and is open to all junior players aged 12-16. It provides them with training to referee U8 to U11 Miniroos Sandringham home games on a Saturday morning. This is a great way for junior players to gain refereeing skills and confidence in real game situations. Many of our former “Budding Refs” have gone on to become official FFV referees and many other clubs have now adopted the program.
As part of our commitment to fostering the love of football amongst our youth, we are proud to offer our Budding Coaches program to our junior members. Learning the skills of coaching builds not only football knowledge but also leadership and communication skills.
Junior coaches are paired together and allocated to teams across our miniroos teams with full access to our football department and adult coaches for support and guidance.
